Stay At Home New Moms Questions Answered!
  1. What are some of the good career opportunities for stay-home moms?

I will be having my first child in Dec this year and have planned to quit work for sometime to be with him. Unless circumstances otherwise demand, i plan to stay home for at least 2 years. I would like to know if there are any good opportunities out there for stay-home moms like me who would like to take full care of their kids and continue to earn at the same time.

  2. For stay-home moms, how do you divide your chores between you and your husband?

I am a stay at home mom of a 14 month old. I'm interested to know what other moms expect of their husbands in terms of chores, after the husband is back from work. Is he expected to do certain house chores, or nothing at all? I think both the husband and the stay home mom both go to a full time job, just the location is different. So, the evening chores should ideally be divided equally. What do you think?

  3. what is the bedtime , wake up and nap time and daily schedules for stay home moms with small banies.?

what is the bedtime , wake up and nap time and daily schedules for stay home moms with small babies.? i am just curious because my baby sleeps through, formula fed, still i can't get proper sleep and exhautwed.

  4. Why are so many stay at home moms always bashing parents for using daycare?

I personally take my son to work with me so he is with me all day and I love it. It seems that too often on here the stay at home moms/dads seem to post negative comments about daycares or babysitters. Most often stating that if people don't want to parent full time don't have children. Why is this? We live in a society where most often the both parents have to work or the children are raised by a single parent. Does this mean that these parents aren't good parents or should not have the right to have a child?

  5. Do children raised by stay at home moms grow up to be more spoiled and less independent?

Full time stay at home moms not just women who stayed home for the first couple of years. And I mean spoiled more in terms of having everything done for them (cleaning, cooking, etc) than in terms of monetary things.

  6. How long did you work before you gave birth? Especially those that quit and became stay-at-home moms?

I'm going to quit my job and be a stay-at-home mom to take care of my baby once she is born. I can't decide when to put in my resignation.

  7. Why are stay at home moms demonized and women who work and have children are also demonized?

Why does society hate stay at home moms and yet at the same time hates women who leave their children in day care to pursue a career? Why is there no middle ground on this issue?

  8. how do you create a resume when you have been a stay home mom for 10 years?

i am 28 and have been a stay home mom for the past 10 years, i want to start working but i dont know how to make a resume much less fill it in, i really dont have alot of work experience or any for that matter. please help!! i started volunteering at our hospital, should i put that on there? and do companies look at homemaker in a bad or good way?

  9. How do you feel about stay at home moms and WHY?

I am pregnant with my first child and am planning on being a stay at home mom at least until my child goes to school. I have recently felt condecended too because, I "don't work". By the way I only recently quit my job, until getting pregnant, I worked a full time job just like my husband and we planned things and waited until a time where we were stable enough for me to do this. Why are some people acting like I'm a second class citizen because I don't work outside my home anymore.

  10. Why are Stay at home Moms hiring maids to clean for them and watch their kids?

Isn't that the point of stay at home mom to clean and take care of kids and make food? why are some dishing off responsibility an than not even working?
